Natalie Steen:
Natalie Steen is the creator of The Nat Note, a weekly, fashion-focused newsletter that delivers ready-to-shop style suggestions for women, kids, and the home in signature collages—the “Notes.” The featured products are a reflection of Natalie’s personal style, which is fresh, colorful, and inventive.
Polimita Club is a collection of resort wear for children made from limited quantities of vintage and retro-inspired fabrics in Houston, TX. Launched in 2020 and named after an endangered species of snail that can only be found in Cuba (Natalie’s family’s birthplace), the snails are known for their bright and colorful shells, and amazingly, no two are alike.  Just like the salvaged fabrics used to make the clothing, the snail is one of a kind and few in number – and just like our little ones, each snail is unique in its own special way.
Natalie, a Cuban-American, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her BA from the University of Virginia and her JD from The University of Pennsylvania Law School. Natalie lives in Houston, TX, where she works for Vinson & Elkins LLP.
Tina Davis:
Tina Davis’ career has been creative from the start.  Fresh out of college with a Business degree in Marketing, she worked in the cosmetic industry representing a line of designer fragrances and cosmetics to department stores.  Not long after, in her early 20’s, she was gifted a class at Houston’s MFA Glassell School of Art in Jewelry Design and was quickly inspired to launch her own costume jewelry line, Valentina Accessories.    For eighteen years, she produced her colorful line of jewelry in her Museum District studio and through a network of reps, sold to hundreds of boutiques and department stores throughout the United States.
It was about that time that Tina became more interested in one-of-a-kind collectibles as opposed to production pieces.  She had worn and collected vintage for many years and knew the time was right to open a well edited, vintage clothing store.  Cheeky Vintage was launched 14 years ago with her good friend and business partner Denise Hazen.   The business quickly flourished and while the two are still dear friends, Tina is now sole owner. With the help of her amazing team, Cheeky Vintage has grown into a hot spot for fashion designers and vintage lovers alike.
We have had the pleasure of working with designers Tommy Hilfiger, Trina Turk, Haute Hippie and Tory Burch, helping select pieces for their design inspiration.  Many Cheeky Vintage garments have made their way into celebrity closets as well as notable fashion collections and archives, most recently that of Hamish Bowles, European Editor at Large of American Vogue.
Tina hopes to inspire fashionistas of all ages to collect and wear vintage treasures both for self expression and the Earth friendly impact of recycling and reusing.   It is her greatest pleasure to hand select garments from amazing historical Houston closets and share them and the stories of their wearers with a new generation.   These beautiful garments from a bygone era will continue on their fashion journey, being worn, cherished and admired for many decades years to come.
