Senator Cook, a sixth-generation Texan and Houston native, brings her unique background as a registered nurse and grassroots organizer to her work in the Texas Legislature. With degrees in nursing and public health from the University of Texas at Austin and Johns Hopkins University, she has spent her career advocating for the health and safety of her community. This forum provides an opportunity for residents to learn about local civic engagement, hear updates on key legislative issues, and ask questions directly to Senator Cook.
